Dr Joyce Yu (she/her)
Executive Director, Co-Founder
Dr Joyce Yu is a junior doctor working in Sydney. Her passion for consent education was born out of her and her peers’ lived experiences during university and residential college. Joyce co-founded Consent Labs in 2016 with the goal of bringing together young people and experts to create long-lasting cultural change.
Joyce is passionate about gender equity in medicine (and the world), and is currently involved in researching the impacts of pregnancy and parenthood on surgical training in Australasia. She is also interested in medical education, in particular using social media to communicate evidence-based information in an engaging way.
In her spare time, Joyce is a self-professed ‘dabbler’ whose latest project was the CL website you are on right now.
Angelique Wan (she/her)
Executive Director, Co-Founder, CEO
Angelique’s professional background is in accounting and finance, but she has always felt a personal passion for empowering young people with knowledge on their rights, particularly as it relates to their sexual experiences.
Angelique started her career in Banking and Finance, but as consent became a national conversation and the need for consent education could no longer be ignored, she took a leap of faith. Now on a 12-month sabbatical, Angelique is Consent Labs’ full-time CEO.
Angelique has been recognised as a Finalist for the 2022 NSW Young Woman of the Year, 2021 Women of the Future and listed by Instagram as a Top 25 female entrepreneur.
Julia Cooper (she/her)
Board Secretary, Executive Director, Head of Legal Research
Passionate about improving consent education for the next generation, Julia is an Executive Director, the Company Secretary, and the Head of Legal Research. Currently working in the NSW Courts and volunteering previously at Youth Law Australia, Julia is committed to becoming a legal advocate for women and children who experience sexual violence.
Julia graduated with a Bachelor of Arts/Laws (Hons I) in 2022 and received first-class honours for her thesis which examined the expansion of judicial directions as a mechanism to transform sexual assault trials. She has since published an article in the Griffith Law Review, titled: Judges as myth-busters: a re-examination of jury directions in rape trials and recently contributed to the Senate Inquiry into the current and proposed sexual consent laws in Australia. She is a passionate advocate for, and improving the response of the justice system to sexual offences.
Noah Bloch (he/him)
Co-Head of Curriculum; Facilitator
Noah is currently in second year at the University of Sydney, studying a Bachelor of Arts and Advanced Studies majoring in International Relations and Sociology. Coming from an all-boys school in Perth, Noah is particularly interested in helping young men to engage in conversations around consent and healthy relationships. As a facilitator and scriptwriter, Noah loves being a part of the Consent Labs team!
His other passions include sport and fitness, particularly playing soccer and cricket, and he loves the beach. He hopes to work full time in the not-for-profit sector once graduating university.

Francesca Caccamo (she/her)
Head of People & Programs
Francesca’s journey with Consent Labs began in December of 2019 as the organisations very first intern. Working in a range of different areas her passions quickly developed within the field of facilitating and facilitator development. In this space she was able to utilise her public speaking and performing arts experience when facilitating and training others. Currently working with the team as Head of People and Programs, Francesca is eager to develop a robust facilitator training and development program.
Fran has been recognised as a Finalist in the 2023 Not-for-Profit Leadership Awards in the Outstanding Leadership in Talent Growth category.
Dr Katie Bird (she/her)
Co-Head of Curriculum; Head of Content
Joining Consent Labs at the end of 2020, Dr Katie Bird (MD) is the Co-Head of Curriculum, Head of Content and sits on the Leadership Team. Katie works on program development, drives Consent Labs’ social media channels and facilitates workshops. Passionate about inclusivity and education, she champions marginalised voices and ensures programs are in line with best educational practices.
Dr Belinda An
Medical Advisor; Copywriter
Dr. Belinda An is a senior resident medical officer working in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Sydney. Through her encounters with women in rural and metropolitan clinical settings, she has developed a passion for tackling poor sexual health literacy and health access inequity, particularly relating to pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) and its long-term impacts on female fertility. Belinda is leading Consent Labs' expansion into sexual health as part of a holistic, integrated curriculum.
In addition to her clinical roles, she is an emerging medical researcher in fertility and reproductive health, having first authored research publications in high impact journals such as "Human Reproduction."

Rachel Tucker (she/her)
Campaign Manager
Rachel is a career marketing and brand consultant with a background in brand and campaign strategy and creative ideation at one of Australia's biggest advertising agencies. She joined the Consent Labs team in 2022 as a campaigns manager specifically to help lead our first earned media campaign, Classify Consent, which achieved a total of 200m+ in media reach, initiated positive conversations with the Classifications Board Chair and government policy makers, and has received several creative advertising awards.
Outside of Consent Labs, Rach co-hosts a podcast, and loves boxing, swimming and drinking red wine.

Andreas Thoma (he/him)
Curriculum Team
Andreas (he/him) is part of Consent Lab’s scriptwriting team. He’s passionate about starting conversations that can often be uncomfortable or taboo for single-sex boys schools in particular, and making the entire conversation about sexuality and consent a much more open, inclusive, and communicative space.
He is has finished his Bachelor in Design Computing and plans to start an honours year specialising in design for education.
Annika Clayton (she/her)
Growth Manager
With a background in client services, sales, and recruitment, Annika brings a unique blend of skills to the team. Having started her career at an Education company, she loves having a yarn with teachers, principals, and everyone in between!
Annika became passionate about consent education and the prevention of sexual violence from her time at college in the United States. Witnessing firsthand the impact a lack of education leads to, especially within the college sports setting, ignited her drive to make a difference. She spearheaded the creation of a comprehensive new Sexual Assault Policy and Reporting Process within the Athletic Department at the University of Wyoming.
Annika's mission at Consent Labs is to raise awareness, empower educators, and ensure as many young people as possible across Australia have the opportunity to access real and relevant consent education.

Helenna Barone-Peters (she/her)
Curriculum Team; Facilitator
Helenna is currently finishing a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Theatre and Performance and Global Development). She is particularly interested in areas of gender development and women’s safety. Helenna is incredibly passionate about the importance of comprehensive sex and consent education, and the role young people play in creating a safer, more inclusive future.
Besides her work as a facilitator and scriptwriter at Consent Labs, you can catch Helenna out surfing with fellow CL shredlord Sammi, tending to her dying sourdough starter, and hosting Up For It on fbi radio.
Demi Tcha (she/her)
Head of Marketing & Visual Strategy
Holding a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communications (Honours) from UTS and professional experience in the design and marketing realm, Demi finds inspiration in the transformative impact of visual communication. She firmly believes in its ability to evoke emotions and drive meaningful change.
With a growing passion and commitment to consent education and empowerment, Demi draws upon their personal experiences during high school and upbringing in a migrant household. Recognising a significant absence of comprehensive consent education, she personally felt uninformed and disempowered. This realisation fuels Demi’s motivation to advocate for widespread improvement in consent education for everyone.

Gillian Wu (she/her)
Project Manager
Gillian is an experienced education professional with a background in project management, partnerships and stakeholder engagement. She joined the Consent Labs team in 2023 to lead our partnership with the Department of Communities and Justice and the University of Sydney, delivering new modules and resources to prevent sexual violence in LGBTQIA+ young people. She believes wholeheartedly in the power of education in driving social change and making a positive impact in the lives of marginalised and vulnerable young people.
Jesse Tachibana (he/him)
Curriculum Team; Facilitator
Having worked at Consent Labs for over a year, Jesse brings a spirited enthusiasm and a wealth of knowledge to all of his facilitations.
This experience and attention to detail recently lead to Jesse co-developing Consent Lab's "Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment: Extension" module, where every students is empowered with practical tools for navigating complex situations that are often encountered by young people.
A professional performing musician by trade, Jesse's 20 years honing his craft as a trumpeter encourages an environment that fosters both creativity and excitement, and facilitates a respectful rapport within any cohort.
